Quraish
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍ1
[He did this] to make the Quraysh feel secure
إِيلَافِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِ2
secure in their winter and summer journeys
فَلْيَعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هَـٰذَا الْبَيْتِ3
So let them worship the Lord of this House
الَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُمْ مِنْ جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُمْ مِنْ خَوْفٍ4
who provides them with food to ward off hunger, safety to ward off fear
Al-Maun
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ1
[Prophet], have you considered the person who denies the Judgement
فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ2
It is he who pushes aside the orphan
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ3
and does not urge others to feed the needy
فَوَيْلٌ لِلْمُصَلِّينَ4
So woe to those who pray
الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ5
but are heedless of their prayer
الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ6
those who are all show
وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ7
and forbid common kindnesses
Al-Kawthar
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ1
We have truly given abundance to you [Prophet]––
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ2
so pray to your Lord and make your sacrifice to Him alone––
إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْأَبْتَرُ3
it is the one who hates you who has been cut off
