بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ1
By the fig, by the olive
وَطُورِ سِينِينَ2
by Mount Sinai
وَهَـٰذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ3
by this safe town
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ4
We create man in the finest state
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ5
then reduce him to the lowest of the low
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ6
except those who believe and do good deeds––
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ7
they will have an unfailing reward. After this, what makes you [man] deny the Judgement
أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ8
Is God not the most decisive of judges
